Established in 2012 Smarties Pants preschool, based in Umtentweni, Port Shepstone, is the ideal home-away-from-home environment for children to learn and play comfortably. A safe and clean environment is non-negotiable, and we check for adherence to safety protocols, childproofing measures, and regular health inspections.
Our educators have a wealth of knowledge, they all have certificates in early childhood development and experience teaching and assisting little ones daily. We believe that a passionate educator creates a nurturing environment where children thrive. Our Mission is to teach not only schoolwork but also kindness and care to all our students.
About Smartie Pants
Our spacious outdoor school facilities include a trampoline, jungle gym, sandpit, lots of balancing tyres and a boat to play on. Active play is essential for physical development. The classroom set up at Smartie Pants includes the Baby Centre, which has a separate play space and changing room, as well as the Bigger Kids classrooms. We focus on getting our grade Rs ready for primary school in according to the CAPS curriculum and teaching methods. At Smartie Pants we not just believe it’s all about academics; it’s also about emotional growth. We have regular show and tells that helps boost the little one’s confidence and social skills, empathy, and self-awareness. Here at Smartie Pants, we love to ignite curiosity and foster a love for lifelong learning.
Grades we offer
3 Months to 6 yrs (Grade R), school is split into two sections which are separate from one another (baby section and big side)
